When you take up a hobby such as RC Racing or Drone piloting you end up with a lot of Lithium batteries to manage. Simply charging them can be done, yes, but that’s not necessarily the most efficient way of doing things. Parameters may be set that can help you to charge them based on strict settings that can maximize the charge and life of your battery and save you money in the long run. That begs the question, ‘What charger should I choose’? In today’s article we are going to show you a few examples of some solid favorites when it comes to charging Lipo batteries so that we may determine the best Lipo charger of 2020. If you are ready, let’s get started!
Our favorite chargers
We’ve gathered together 4 of our favorite chargers which we have selected for their efficiency, functionality, and overall usefulness. Many chargers out there perform multiple functions and this can make them a valuable addition to your toolkit. As such, we’ve outlined the specifications for these chargers so that you know what kind of batteries they can work with, what additional functions they have, and our overall impression. Let’s take a look and you can see these for yourself.
Haisito 80W 6A Lipo Charger
Our first entry is the Haisito 80W Lipo charger and it is definitely not a one-trick pony. First, it is compatible with a wide range of batteries. The Haisito supports the following:
- 2V-18V NiCD / NiMH batteries (1-15 Cells)
- 2V-19.2V LiFePO4 batteries (1-6 Cells)

- 2V-20V SLA batteries
This unit can act as a balancer for your Lithium batteries and also has fast and storage charging, Cyclic charging and discharging, and has a Data storage and Load function. While you will still want to read the documentation, using this charger is easy. You can select your battery type and settings (discharge/charge, for instance) and then you are good to go. This unit comes with an AC Cable, an AC adaptor, and a number of connecting wires to fit the covered range of batteries. Factor in the 1 year warranty that Haisito throws in and it’s a hard value to beat.
Venom Pro Duo LiPo Battery Charger

Not simply a charger, the Venom can also balance or discharge your batteries and includes the functions of Balance Charge, Charge, Cycling, Discharge, Fast Charge, Storage Charge. It also acts as a Battery Meter, of course. This unit can be used at home or at large and utilizes input of 11.0V – 18.0V DC or 100V-240V AC, depending on your local current type. Venom stands behind their products and while this one costs a little more it does come with a limited lifetime warranty so if you want a charger that you can use a long time instead of replacing every few months (we all know how quickly the cheap ones can die out!) then the Venom Pro Duo might just be a good fit for you!

Smart cooling technology helps to keep things running smoothly while the unit is in operation and aside from your charge cable it comes with T-crocodile clips, T-Tamiya, deans charge cable, Xt60 plus 2 in 1’s, and balance boards with pin cord. That’s a lot of functionality and compatibility so consider this one when you are selecting your next charger!
Weighing in the functionality and service we ended up selecting the HTRC LiPo Charger as our favorite from this list. While it was not the one with the most bells and whistles we felt that as a Lipo-dedicated charger it included enough extras to expand its usefulness while providing the solid service that it was designed for. If you prefer expanded functionality, however, we hope that the listings we have showcased will be of use to you and we wish you and your batteries a long and happy life!
